I decided to start (my blog) because I have so many stories and ideas to share! I felt that I would be able to help so many people through my various experiences in my only 25 years of life. First I’d like to share some background about my life so you can get to know me a little better and hopefully some of my own experiences will be of interest or assistance to you. My wish for my blog is for it to become a place of growth and inspiration for all that read and enjoy the content…. So let’s get to it!
First, a little about my background. I grew up in a small town of less than 10,000 people right in the heart of Wisconsin. It was a typical family household with both of my parents working full-time jobs. My dad as engineer and my mom as a nurse. I have one brother who is younger than me by two years. My childhood was spent playing outside and visiting my grandparent’s farm. I always enjoyed school and took studio dance classes from the time I was three years old to the time I was eighteen!
Following high-school my parents divorced and I started nursing school at a local community college. While attending college, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Post-Surgical care at a hospital. I graduated from the program and began working as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit, the same hospital I was employed as a CNA. I have now been a nurse for just over four years and still hold the same position I started with.
I purchased an old home in the spring of 2022 and have slowly been updating and renovating it. This has certainly had its trials and tribulations but I have learned so much along the way! I hope to share some of this adventure with you all.
As far as my love-life goes, a little over a year ago I suffered a failed engagement. Though that was a difficult time, I learned so much and was able to overcome the intense emotions that come with an intense life-change such as that. I am currently back in a relationship with my high-school ex-boyfriend which is a whole story all by itself!
I have way too many hobbies that I am so passionate about which is a huge reason why I decided to start this blog. I spend lots of time with my two cats (Sherbert and Jack Frost) and my black lab, Dixie. I spend most of my days off of work crocheting, reading, renovating my house, working on various small crafts, baking, cooking, traveling, or simply just spending time with family. Most recently I am trying to grow a sourdough starter!
I hope you are interested in this journey I have started with my blog and that you will find something of your own benefit along the way. I truly look forward to sharing my life experience and ideas with you all. Enjoy!
